Collected New hulls on Tuesday and unpacked today built up both boats and started to fit up radio gear and sat-nav, Worked out battery consumption for all safety kit and installed the radio units into the cases, We have located two new engines and hopefully we can afford them, our funding is now stretched to it’s maximum at the moment we have no funds for fuel or to complete the expedition, however i am working nights to try to get finances in place but without a main sponsor it is not going to be easy.
Our Raffle tickets are selling well and we should hopefully be toping up the charity funds shortly with a good sum from the two raffles.
Tomorrow [Sunday] we need to finalise the positioning of all the equipment / make up drawings for wiring / check out the new tiller arms i have made for positioning and make a drawing for the throttle cables.
I will up date news next week with some photos of the boats in full trim.
I would like to thank everyone that has kindly donated funds to “Around Britain Single Handed” without you we cannot make it and i feel sure everyone in the RNLI and at Clic Sargent will wish you all well and the Charity funds are growing.
