WHITBY TO LOWERSTOFT
23/07/2009

Great early start out of bed by 0545 on the water for 0700 weather is looking good we got going and pulling 33 knots for a full 35 litre tank nonstop and then tank change and yet another nonstop run at full throttle everything going great until Humber crossing the channel that was still full throttle but rough water, there was a big bang and the engine was hanging off my boat, top engine mountings both broke the bolts? Tow me in Sunny 10 miles later we were at the Slip at Mablethorp striping the engine to fix the mountings, 40 min later the road team arrived with the parts, we got it re assembled and we were on our way on a mission to get to Lowerstoft  for the evening we were flat chat all the way until the weather turned again, on our routine call into the Coast Guard we were questioned on our speed, later the land crew were told by the Coast Guard that there was no way they were going to be at Lowerstoft before us as w were running at 35+ knots.

A big day tomorrow Brighton +
